9/28/2025 Message from the Coach Good morning, very proud of the way our players played this past week. It was not perfect by any means but we are starting to put it all together. This week will be a tough challenge that we are all looking forward to. We will travel to Camden Hills on Saturday with a 2pm kickoff. Thank you to everyone that volunteered this week and for those of you that attended the boosters meeting last Wednesday it was great to see so many people ready and willing to help this program.

GRADE REPORTS
-Grade Progress checks will go out on Monday. Players will need to approach their teachers and fill out a progress check. This will need to be handed to Coach Cekutis on Thursday afternoon. All players are required to complete this progress check. Please make sure you are patient and respectful with your teachers. You have an entire week to collect this information. It is YOUR responsibility no one else’s to get this done. I have attached a PDF of the document in case you misplace the one given to you Monday. JV Players will get theirs upon their return from Sacoppee.

HEALTH
-This is the time of year when sickness spreads through the schools. Please make sure you are taking care of yourself and your teammates. If you are not in school you are not allowed to practice. If you can not practice multiple days in the week you may not be able to suit up for games. Health is going to be a huge priority for us going forward with smaller numbers. If you are sick, stay home and rest. Please make sure to text Coach Cekutis if you are out as soon as possible.

FUNDRAISER
-Please make sure you are selling your calendars. Each player is expected to sell 30 tickets. We have several prizes for the players who sell the most this year. With such a small roster everyone’s effort is important. Thank you, and thank you to Charity Hews for organizing this for our players. Calendar packets will be turned into Coach Cekutis on Tuesday after practice. Players who have not sold all their tickets will have some reminder running after practice on Tuesday.

JV SCHEDULE
-We are excited to host a full slate of JV games this year but with small numbers it is difficult to field a team safely. Please understand that coaches spend a lot of time preparing for JV games and trying to make sure we have a safe and successful product on the field. Going forward it may be tougher to make all of these games happen but we will do everything we can to put a team on the field and we will let you know with as much advanced notice as we can if changes are made.
